William Davis Furry was president of Ashland from 1911-1919. He was an active member of the American Philosophical Association during his entire tenure as AU’s president. His work was prominently reviewed in the Philosophical Review and the Journal of Philosophy. He also did work on the ramifications of Kantian insights for the field of psychology.
